Hello Everyone … So yesterday we visited City Palace jaipur, which is one of the main attractions of Jaipur. City Palace is owned and run by Jaipur royal family.
This city place complex contains Mubarak Mahal, Diwan-i-Aam, Diwan-i-Khas. If you are willing to spend another INR 2,000/- you can visit Chandra Mahal (the place where royal family lives)
Chandra Mahal Tour
This tour includes a guide and one can visit all the rooms of the main palace like the Sabha Niwas, Rang Mandir, Sukh Niwas and Shobha Nivas!
We decided to go for the normal ticket. Once we entreated we heard Rajasthani songs were playing, then we moved ahead and saw the Diwan-I-Aam (place where king used to meet common people) and Diwan-I- khas (Place for king and his executives). Then we saw one silver vessel, which holds the Guinness World Record for the largest vessel. It was used by Sawai Madho Sing II to carry Ganga water on his tour to England.
Then we moved ahead to The Mubarak Mahal, which hosts a museum of royal artifacts and apparels. It was not of my interest (Photography is not allowed here) you could see variety of beautiful painting, costumes, armory and many other collections.
So do visit this palace once and if you want to see it in a royal way then go for INR 2000 Tour.
It is interesting to know the concept of two flags (one big in size) together on the top of one of the buildings within the palace premise. It seems the 2nd flag (small in size) is hosted only when either King or Prince is in town.
Ticket Cost – INR 190 (Composite Ticket)
Royal Grandeur – INR 2500
