A haven full of hills of Sahyadri range with breathtaking views is the only lakeside hill station of Gujrat. It is on the border of Maharashtra and Gujrat. I happen to come to Saputara from Nashik which is around 80Kms and is 2 hour beautiful drive from Nashik with sceneries ranging from Vineyards, lakes, forests and other natural scenes… Saputara Beautiful Hill Station.
The best time of the year to visit this place is monsoons and that too early in the morning if you are a person who likes to watch sunrise never the less this place is also for those who enjoys sunsets but coming early will not only enable you to watch breathtaking sunrise but will also give you time for other activities like:

The cable car is a 5-7 minute ride overlooking beautiful scenic on your either side and you can get off on the hill opposite to where the ride starts stay there for as long as you want can come back by the same cable car. You can enjoy all the picnic foods and beverages from Ice Creams, Bhutta ( Challi ), Maggi , tea, coffee, cold drinks etc.
If you are a lake person and enjoy boating, you can have a boat all by yourself and enjoy for as long as you want with no time restrictions.
Paragliding is again an adventure sport you can do if you are a thrill seeker, they charge you Rs.2000/- per person with an airtime of anything from 3 mins to 7 mins depending on the weather.

How to Reach Saputara from Nashik
You can take a cab from Nashik, which will charge you about Rs.1500/- to Rs.2000/- for full day visit and back to Nashik.
You can also take an Auto from Nashik, yes you read it right AUTO. It will charge you anything from Rs.800/- to Rs.1500/-.
You have an option of taking a Bus from Nashik which will be a very cheaper option as it would only charge you around Rs.150/- per person one way. All the buses going to surat or Vapi from Nashik will go thru Saputara.
