Namah Resort is one of the most exquisite properties I have come across in Jim Corbett. The property sprawls over 8.75 acres with huge lush green lawns, alluring beautiful Mango Orchard, breathtaking view of the Sitabani Hills and the Kosi River flowing lazily in the backyard of Namah. This royal resort houses about 50 rooms with 24*7 room service and “Pratha” their in-house restaurant which indeed serves lip-smacking food. For further details refer to the our another article on Namah – http://trendingfeeds.com/namah-resort-jim-corbett-national-park/

Day 1

Journey – So, the journey to ultimate Royal Rejuvenation at Namah Resort kick started with a Whatsapp group of lovely bunch of people, whom we met at Barakhamba Metro Station to embark on the very promising and relaxing journey.  By the time sun was about to play havoc with its striking rays, we took the shelter of the comfortable Volvo Bus.  After stopping at Bikanerwala midway and having some quick bites we resumed our journey with anticipation and excitement.  After some sleep we realized the surroundings around us became greener and we knew we were close to our destination. The sleepy passengers in a quick succession got up to point their lenses onto the road, the calm and serene surroundings.

Namah - Travelogue

Namah – Suddenly the bus took a left turn and we could see NAMAH written in bold and the alert staff to welcome us. The hotel staff gave us a grand welcome with folk music, warm and smiling faces and wet towels to freshen ourselves up. We were allotted our rooms and were escorted through their lovely property to reach the plush and jaw dropping rooms. After the much required refreshing shower, we headed to “Pratha” for some snacks along with regional dance, music and fun. The huge spread of buffet was wonderful too.

Day 2

yoga

Got up in the wee hours of the morning to do Yoga amidst the fresh air of Namah. You would never feel such fresh air in the metropolitan cities. I always wanted to give Yoga a try, but was always unable to while away some quality time from my super hectic schedule.  Hence Namah gave me this opportunity to do Yoga in the most peaceful and relaxing manner. As its said “Yoga is technique of controlling body and mind” through expansion of consciousness and I truly believe it now after my 2 hours of Yoga session. After attainment of inner peace, we went for awesome breakfast at “Pratha” and then lavish buffet lunch. Evening was the time for some fun and frolic activity besides the picturesque pool. We played, clicked pictures, made boomerangs. Then we headed to the sprawling lawn for some evening high tea followed by a session with the leading naturalist Mr. Imran Khan. With our tummy full of delicacies and desserts prepared by the Chefs at Namah we took the late night relaxing walk, a swing in  the lawns and the lap of my super soft and bouncy bed, I decided to call it a day only to get up next morning to practice Yoga on the occasion of “International Yoga Day”.

Day 3

Another 2 hour Yoga session of spiritual, mental and physical practice was uber refreshing to the mind, body and soul and the huge spread in buffet and lunch gave our appetite the much desired gratification as well. Now was the time to come One on One with the tiger. Yes you guessed it right it was time for the “Jungle Safari”. The open Jeeps, overcast conditions and the slight drizzle on our faces welcomed us to the Jungle.  Through the streams, rocky paths and the trees we went very close to nature only to realize that sighting a Tiger in a Jungle Safari was not possible. Hence with smiling faces we sang, made videos, did constant Q&A with the Jeep driver and came back from our trips to rush for “SPA Sessions”. The spa session was just out of the world. I just went into another world altogether because of the soothing music, aromatic oils and the relaxing massage. The action packed day did not seem to end. Right after our spa sessions we barged into a DJ party organized by the resort exclusively for us. And then the night became dark with the thumping music and beer in my hand.

Day 4

The penultimate day of our trip and was the one we had to bid good bye to the place which served us with smiling faces through our stay. I took the eco-friendly buggy ride of the entire property just to capture and re-visit all those lovely moments we had spent on this amazing property.  Relaxing Yoga sessions, occasional pool volleyball, long mid-night walks, lip-smacking food, witnessing lovely cloud-play, the tiring Table Tennis matches, late night Bluff scenes, and doing nothing watching the Sitabani Hills while indulging into endless conversations and of course numerous pictures and lovely memories to take back home “Treasure”. With all these memories thronging my mind it was already time to head back to the concrete jungle with lovely moments, awesome memories and super fun friends.

It was hard to say goodbye to the place and hotel staff,  which would always hold special place in my heart for the amazing hospitality “Straight from the Heart” which is what they live and strive for. Would soon be back for in your backyard “Namah”.  J
