A staycation is something we as a family enjoy thoroughly. Just going away from home for a short leisure trip without much travelling or headaches. It prepares you for the coming week as well as acts as a refresher. This time we chose to discover ibis New Delhi Aerocity for one night stay.
Hotel IBIS Aerocity is quite close to the Delhi airport and is one of the newly built properties. The tariff is quite reasonable and wouldn’t burn a hole into your pocket.
There are 8 theme-based rooms in the hotel, designed by the staff. I really loved the idea and our room, which was on Bollywood theme. From the “Now Showing” glowboard to the starboard and camera stickers on the wall, everything was inspired by Bollywood and hindi movies.
The rooms are small but very comfortable. The bathroom is clean and nicely lit, which is something I always look for. To my surprise Kama Ayurveda toiletries were there! I love that brand 🙂
The room has one cupboard, table & chair, a couch, minibar & LCD TV. Unfortunately the hotel doesn’t support in room dining, which was such a bummer since kids get hungry on wrong times and you have to go to the restaurant on ground floor to pick the order. This is how ibis hotels work everywhere.
We had buffet for lunch, the spread was good and held at the only restaurant at the property “ Spice It”. The restaurant is fairly large! The buffet had international and well as Indian options along with salads, raita, chaat and soups.
A-La cart has some quick bites as well as meal options. I found the food quite reasonably priced. I ordered for sandwiches and they were really good. The staff is courteous and mad our stay quite smooth
There is a huge swimming pool and quite nice sitting area around it. You can enjoy evening drinks & snacks by the pool. Though the lighting around it is quite dim.
Overall I had a good experience at ibis New Delhi Aerocity. I enjoyed my stay, which was very comfortable. A budget option (Near Airport) if you love staycations or travelling to Delhi and don’t want to burn a hole in your pocket.
