Tunnel – Amber Fort – Jaigarh Fort

This 18th century tunnel connects two historical landmarks in Jaipur, Amber-Palace and Jaigarh-Fort. It was meant to evacuate royal family in case of an attack on Amber Palace. It is operational and open to public. This tunnel offers a new adventure to tourists and history buffs. According to Tourism ministry this will help increasing the tourism and tourists would love walking through it.

We visited this tunnel, it is well maintained clean and lights were installed though out it to make tourists comfortable. We walked for about 5 mins to get a look and feel and then came back because we were two friends only … I am sure if you go in a group of 4 -5 people, you will explore this unexplored tunnel by going till the end.
